Welcome to the online extension of my English classes. This is our place to explore, collaborate, communicate, and learn--to expand our classroom beyond the brick and mortar walls. Use the navigation menu on the right to locate resources and information related to your specific class, including homework assignments, quizzes and tests, slide presentations, and reading lists.

Be sure to explore the site and familiarize yourself with it. This web site is an essential part of our classroom and you will need to check it habitually for updates and for important information from week to week. If you do not have internet access at home, you must make time during or after school to use a computer in the library or in one of the computer labs.

Nearly every major college and university in the country and many throughout the world make technology a part of every class. Many college professors expect their students to know how to use online classroom applications such as Blackboard to study, to complete assignments, to do research, and to communicate and network effectively. It is my goal to begin preparing you for these multimedia environments at the post-secondary level. Therefore, technology literacy and online networking is an essential part of all of my classes. You will be expected to learn about and use technology to communicate with me and with your peers. You will need an email address and to verify it with me the first week of school. If you do not have an email address, see me and I will help you set up a gmail or yahoo email account.

I hope you will gain much from using this site and that we'll save a few trees this way too. Contact me any time with questions by using the contact form on this site or by sending me an email. My email address is printed in the back of your planner.
